LIMITED AVAILABILITY. Rarely offered here is my fathers 1989 description of the Devils Claw one of the most beautiful alpines in existence. Tufts of sharply-toothed dark green leaves, the tips of the flower petals adhere together from which point a long stigma spike extends. Colours vary from pale to purplish blue in summer. At this stage I have concluded it must be seen to be believed because i'm d--- if I can describe it. Alpine house or rock crevice or tufa. Beware of slugs. Dormant in winter.
