Terms of Business for the EU.
How to make Payment:
Payments must be made in Pounds Sterling (UK currency) only by International Money Order through a Post Office, by Draft in Pounds Sterling (UK currency) drawn on an English Bank or by CREDIT CARD. Please do not send cash by post.
CREDIT CARDS
We accept MASTERCARD, VISA and MAESTRO with payment claimed in Pounds sterling (UK currency). Please ensure you supply the following information authorising us to charge the total value of your order: Type of Card, Card number, Date of Expiry, Security Code (that is the last three digits above where your signature is on the back of your card), Name as on Card, Card holders address and signature. If youve asked us to post your order to your business address PLEASE also tell us your home address. All this information may be required by the credit card company before we can obtain payment. Payment by credit card is by far the easiest and cheapest method.
PAYMENT DIRECT TO BANK
Please contact the nursery for information if you wish to make a direct transfer to our bank.
Postal charges to the EU
ALPINES
These will be sent by Air Mail Post and charged at cost. For an approximate assessment please add 25% to the cost of your order. The postage charge is based on the final weight of your packaged plants and not the value. Obviously we cannot pre-determine this cost as each order is different. Plants are sent bare root. We very carefully remove the soil and wrap the roots in sphagnum moss, then cling film. We keep the weight to a minimum but also must ensure adequate protection for the plant on its journey. Upon arrival your order will need unpacking immediately, plants potted up, watered and given protection from prevailing weather for 3 or 4 weeks before they will be ready for transplanting into your garden. We have been successfully packing and sending our plants to European gardens since 1971.
DWARF BULBS
These will be sent by Air Mail Post and charged at cost. For an approximate assessment please add 20% to the cost of your order, but like Alpines postage charges are based on weight of the package and not the value of your order.
WINTER CATALOGUE, PLEIONE, SNOWDROPS etc
These items will be sent at cost by Air Mail Post, postage will be charged at cost.
