Crocus tommasinianus 'Barr's Purple'

Large flowers rich purple-lilac inside with three outer petals, grey on outside,10cm. A charming species and one of the best for naturalising looking superb when planted in great masses under trees or in grass, often planted amonst snowdrops and aconites. It flowers from February to March and produces seeds in good quantities.
