Perennial plants spreading by creeping rhizomes which generally prefer light to deep shade in a well drained, moisture retentive, humus rich soil. Winter dormant, emerging in early spring, flowering late spring to mid summer. All are very hardy.

Polygonatum hybridum 'Striatum'

Glorious arching stems to 45cm, white drooping flowers in early summer, leaves striped and edged yellow.
