All require a well drained soil in a sunny position. They look at their best when planted in clumps on a rockery / raised bed / border or as mass planting in grass or woodland fringe. Plant the bulbs about 7cm deep. We will send these bulbs in early September and they should flower two or three weeks later in your garden.
The still rare, pure white Autumn flowering Crocus with a violet-purple ring around the base of flower to 10cm, yellow anthers and red stigma. Thrives in a well drained warm soil in full sun.
The Saffron Crocus - very large, rosy lilac-purple to deep mauve flowers, with deep purple feathering / veins with bright orange-red stigma. The bulbs need to be planted in a deep rich soil, warm sunny aspect, flowering late September to November
