One of the most beautiful alpines with rosettes of large fleshy green leaves often tinged red, 15cm stems bear several large, showy apricot to pink flowers in April - a marvellous sight. Reasonably hardy in most of UK, otherwise alpine house or cold frame, give lots of ventilation throughout the year.
