Welcome to Pottertons Nursery
GREETINGS. We are a traditional family run specialist nursery which grows and supplies an extensive selection of Alpines, Dwarf Bulbs, Woodland plants and conifers by Mail Order or at the many horticultural shows or lectures we attend throughout the UK and occasionally in Europe. This year we have been invited to attend events in Sweden, see link on the right hand side.
The nursery was opened in 1971 and since then we have conducted our mail order business through our printed, fully descriptive catalogue in paper format, although the relatively recent boom in internet use has resulted in an increasing proportion of orders been taken through this web site. If you live in the UK and require a copy of our catalogue please send 6 x first class stamps with your address to the nursery.
All our current catalogues are included on this site and orders may be made using the secure on-line ordering systems. If you require any advice or assistance contact the nursery by e-mail and you will receive a prompt reply. We can supply our full range by mail order to customers throughout the UK and Europe but a reduced range to customers elsewhere. We do not supply to USA, Canada, Australia nor New Zealand. We are extensively a mail order business but the nursery does have limited opening times from Tuesday to Sunday from 10.00am till 4.00pm but between November and February we are only open by confirmed appointment. Pre-booked, confirmed orders may be collected on a visit and friendly advice or assistance is offered freely.
You may also walk around our extensively planted landscaped gardens which includes large rockeries, raised walls, troughs, island beds and woodland garden. A special NGS event will take place on the weekend of 12 / 13 May when visitors will be offered nursery and garden tours led by Rob and Jackie Potterton.
