CALOCHORTUS
These North American bulbs may be grown in a cold frame or if planted in the garden, find a very well drained deep, gritty loam. They may also be gown in pots, over wintered in a greenhouse and grown on in the garden until growth ceases. They require a warm, dry resting period when dormant and from say October-March only moderate watering. As soon as the flowers appear stop watering. When planting in the garden, place the bulbs onto a bed of sharp grit 10-15cm deep.
